An enterprising effort by KUMPULAN BARKATH has resulted in the formation of BARKATH CO-RO MANUFACTURING SDN BHD, a joint venture company with CO-RO FOOD A/S OF DENMARK for the production of "SUNQUICK" fruit juice concentrate in Malaysia.

The Factory is built on a six acre piece of land in Mak Mandin and involves a total investment of RM 20 million. The factory was completed in December 1993 and production commenced in January 1994. It is fully integrated automated using latest Danish technology for the processing of fruits based concentrates. It has a workforce of 50 people.

BARKATH CO-RO MANUFATURING has become a leading manufacturer of fruits based concentrates and similar products through achievement of international quality recognition (ISO 9002)

"SUNQUICK" concentrated products are manufactured from the highest quality of natural products. Eight flavours are being presently manufactured in Malaysia. These are Orange, Red Orange, Mandarin, Tropical, Ice Lemon Tea, Blackcurrant, Grape and Lemon.

The factory will currently sells its products to the domestic market and export to SINGAPORE and BRUNEI. "SUNQUICK" products are available in more than 80 countries all over the WORLD either through local manufacturing under licence or export from DENMARK.
